It was only weeks ago that social media was reeling from the news that Caroline Flack had taken her own life following a continuous and long standing campaign of hate and trolling through social media platforms. Far and wide, the hashtag and phrase, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind” was used to bat away the nastiness and attack those online and in the media who had verbally attacked and bullied Caroline Flack. The world of social media has made it far too easy to be horrid from a far, to spout hatred from behind a picture on a screen.
Fast forward to the Coronavirus pandemic which has swept the globe in a matter of weeks, every person has the potential to be affected by this, any age, any race, any salary. Many people confuse TikTok with Musical.ly and if you haven’t heard of the latter don’t worry there is probably a good reason for that. The two actually merged in August 2018 and worked in a very similar manner.
But let’s stop the history lesson for a second and get right down to it, shall we? Does your business need to use TikTok? Happy Birthday to Us!
Wow! Three whole years old! Time flies when you’re having fun!
Goodness me, where to start! The last three years have been fantastic, whilst running a business is not always easy, it certainly has been a learning experience. I’ve assisted clients from all sectors, hairdressers to construction firms, dog walking clubs to wifi booster companies, architects to farmers markets and occasionally marine biologist amongst many others!
I love what I do because each business I become immersed in, I learn about! Does that make me a jack of all trades and a master of none? I hope not! When I started Tartan Otter, I wanted to offer a service which made me part of these teams and businesses, not just someone that popped in occasionally and just worked remotely, as such, I’ve had the chance the build relationships and become parts of teams all with very different backgrounds and goals and it’s fascinating!
SO, it’s our third birthday, here’s to many more enjoyable years of being the Tartan Otter.
Peace out. x
